Paul N. Greico, DDS

Dr. Paul N. Greico obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago and graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry, Cum Laude, in 1989, where he was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

After dental school, Dr. Greico practiced for a number of years with his family dentists, Dr. DelMonico and Dr. Trocchio in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He was also an associate of Dr. D’Amico in Elmwood Park. He then worked in Northwest Chicago for 7 years until finally opening his own practice, Dental Essence, in 2005. He has seen nothing but success there; over 3,000 patients (from even a few states away) now entrust him with their routine dental care. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society as well.

In the meantime, he married Maria. They have been married for over 24 years. He has three children; Nicholas, Carina, and Angelina, who all enjoy spending some of their free time working with him at the office. He loves being around family, friends, staff, and patients, reading, watching Chicago sports, coaching basketball, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Greico understands that maintaining good oral care, choosing your dentist, and keeping up with your appointments can be a truly daunting task, but he, along with the Dental Essence team, is dedicated, not only to making your smile better and brighter, but also to give you a reason to smile every time you come in.

In exchange for your trust, Dr. Greico strives to work tirelessly every day to guarantee your satisfaction, and is prepared to ‘bend over backwards’ to ensure that you and your family have the perfect, healthy smile you’ve always wanted, for a fair price, with minimal pain or stress, and in the comfort of a relaxing, family-oriented atmosphere.

“I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, especially interacting with my patients and devoted staff members. Taking care of people is what makes me happy, and I try to treat all of my patients with dignity and respect. I am well aware that many of you make time in your busy schedules and great efforts to come to my office for your dental care, and I will never take that for granted. Dentistry is an art, and I take pride in all of my work. It is my sincerest hope that my patients are truly satisfied with my craft.”

Matthew Van Beek DDS

Dr. Matthew Van Beek joined the Dental Essence team in 2016. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hope College. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of Michigan, before graduating from U of M as a general dentist. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. His special interests include root canal therapy, oral surgery, and conservative restorative dentistry with emphasis on preventative oral health.

Dr. Van Beek is a Michigan native, now currently living in Downers Grove with his wife Joanna and children. He works at a second office in Western Springs, but he mainly spends his free time with his family, chasing his kids around and taking them to parks. He also enjoys watching and playing sports, particularly baseball, and spending time with friends.

“My approach to patient care is built upon the idea that patients come first. I believe ‘patient-centered care’ means working with patients to make treatment decisions. Furthermore, I believe that earning the trust of patients and their families is a critical element of building strong, positive relationships within a dental practice and a community. I have found out quickly that this is a wonderful area to live and work and I can’t wait to build meaningful relationships with patients and families in the community as we work together to connect oral health to overall wellness. I take my responsibility as a dentist and health provider very seriously; I strive to stay current on evidence-based dentistry and engage in continuing education so that I can provide the most complete care for my patients.”
